I'm glad others like it. I want Cadillac to succeed and stay around and these type vehicles pay the bills now. Personally though, I don't think it has any elegance or class and I wouldn't want to own it.

Others disagree, but I'd like to think it will be priced very close to the current car. The SRX has been very successful and now Cadillac needs something for all those buyers (many of whom are new to Cadillac!) to trade for.
Again merely your opinion, and I'd say most people will look at this and see a cohesive and classy design. Do a poll, and my guess is that when all of the pictures of the exterior/interior are available more will like it than not, and by a good margin.
You beat me to it. The usual 4-6 whiners who won't admit that it's actually very attractive, as they don't want to look impetuous.
That's 'Eye', he only has one and that's not too good.

XT5 should priced around $39,995. That's my guess.

Perhaps so.
But the XT5 is a FWD vehicle and there's no hiding it. I'm not saying this is axiomatically bad, but the proportional possibilities of a RWD vehicle are definitely superior (in my opinion, anyway).
That said, the market doesn't seem to much care about this and they buy vehicles like the XT5 in large numbers, considerably larger than the RWD counterparts.
If Cadillac gets a larger, car-based crossover I hope it's built on a RWD Platform.
No it doesn't, you're thinking of Mercedes the current masters of gilding the lilly. That's what they would do. Most states require a front license plate and that'll be enough details. It doesn't need any more chrome. It has just enough brightwork to be tasteful and classy, not tacky.
I could certainly see the high end variants being $60,000 to $65,000. It all depends what the opposition top out at.
You know quite a few RWD based Crossovers have very small area between the door and front wheel well that looks similar to a FWD based vehicle. Don't believe me? Go check you'll see I'm correct and you've never noticed it. For example, check the current Escalade.

UGH. I don't mind an occasional V accent. I get the design theme.
But the "Sponsored by Chevron" look is a bit much. It's just as bad as Lexus' "Sponsored by Nike" look.

Black is a smart color to show it in and the color I would have if they ever made a RHD version - which we all know they won't.
My long standing dislike of CUV's left to one side, if this has a reasonable interior and enough engine under the hood, I could definitely live with it as a daily driver.
The front to me works better than CT6 but then I like the higher grille. I actually love the rear and think it is, in light of the 'look' they have been playing with for a while, the best version so far. But I would still like a new rear look to be high on the list of things to do on newer models.
From the side it looks smaller than I imagined, not a bad thing as CUV's are all a bit too pudgy to my eye. Not a fan of the upward side line but it works better than on ELR.
Better than most in the class, but my eye still went to the hot girl first....
I really would like the day to come when a production Caddy has such stunning style that I look at the girl afterwards.... that would be a true Cadillac.

That would be excellent as it is only a couple thousand more than the current SRX. If that is at least equiped as well as the current base SRX it will be a sales/cash machine for GM.

U know what is weird? Not just here, but all over the web... Who would think that a brand such as Cadillac ..a brand that is supposed to be so damaged... would get so much attention with every release that it does? Including this one.
I don't think the new "Quasimodo " from Bentley got this much attention

When I saw an X1 last week, the first thing that came to mind was the car of the Ambiguously Gay Duo. Some people might like it, but it must be a hard sell to Lesbians.
The Steering wheel seems to be picking up the motif of the lower front scoops.
Haha I didn't mean it to come out that way. I was pointing out how unlike RWD sedans, the difference on RWD v FWD based SUV's aft of the front wheel well between the front door isn't that different.
