Cadillac Owners FB Group season opening (PL) lots of pictures

My last thread about our 1st local FB group meeting wasn't very popular.

It's a proof GMiers care about concept of global Cadillac/Chevy as much as GM (read: don't care at all). Nevertheless I am posting pictures I took last week simply because I like to look at them and I am happy how the event turned out. The weather was perfect, the palace in Gniewkowo we rented was beautiful (perfect scenery for brand like Cadillac and a perfect venue for a premiere of Celestiq/Lyriq if GM cared) and I met some wonderful people. Also the small city of Inowroclaw provided space, live music etc. for crowd of local residents who all fell in love with Cadillacs we exhibited.

The navy-blue one is in really good condition, especially the interior was impressive. Soft to touch and quiet. There were only some squeaks when I pushed some surfaces but still better than in most of European cars that I know that are 20+ old. Unfortunately those Northstars are a tough sell. Currently they cannot find anyone ready to pay 12000PLN which is roughly 2800 US-dollars. Too much bs. about the Northstar engines on US-car forum boards and too much thugs in this side of Europe who only prefer Audis and BMWs even in much worse condition.

We don't have many XT5s, I am not sure why but their resale value is high. That wasn't a case with second gen. SRX and there are plenty of them.
Frankly speaking I lost hope long time ago. Firstly we talk about globally chaotic GM not forward-thinking Hyundai/Kia, secondly Caddy ain’t Mustang - price makes a huge difference here. The only solution is to change attitude and become so rich to import vettes and caddies, pay for them in cash, send them for servicing in Germany and enjoy life
If they are rare, better for me I don’t even care about prestige of American cars anymore. 98% of those who despise them in Europe never owned an American car or cannot afford anything newer than 10-year old Audi. In fact the ct6v owner joined a supercar club last year and all the lambo, Ferrari owners were very enthusiastic about how this extremely rare car drove, sounded and looked. So we might see more privately imported vseries Cadillacs in future and next year a company that already imported a rivian is planning to import a lyriq.1 - 17 of 17 Posts
