What's also interesting is that BMW went with the M6 as their next GT3 spec car. They didn't want to race the twin turbo in-line six and felt the twin turbo V8 is better. We'll see.http://www.roadandtrack.com/racing/racing-news/bmw-m6-gt3-announced
It just means GM is more confident they can make more power from a smaller Engine than BMW and they already have the Callaway GM powered V8 GT3 Corvettes.. which interestingly have not switched over to direct fuel injection
