DETROIT - Cadillac today announced pricing for its new 2004 Escalade ESV Platinum Edition ultimate luxury SUV scheduled to hit dealerships beginning in February. The $69,730 MSRP (including destination and delivery) includes standard premium features such as a DVD-based navigation system, XM Satellite Radio, 20-inch chrome wheels, dual screen DVD rear entertainment system, heated and cooled seats, heated and cooled cup holders, and much more.

Featuring the most luxurious appointed interior available in an Escalade, the Escalade ESV Platinum also brings power, technology and a new level of sophistication.

"The Cadillac Escalade ESV Platinum strengthens GM's position in the luxury truck market and raises it to a new level," said Kim McGill, Escalade marketing director. "This Escalade ESV variant caters to the customer who seeks the highest level of premium features available in an SUV."

2004 Cadillac Escalade ESV Platinum Edition standard features:
* Rear-seat entertainment system with dual 7-inch screens
* Heated and cooled first- and second-row bucket seats
* Center console with heated and cooled cupholders
* Walnut burl wood accented steering wheel, door pulls, window switch bezels and dashboard trim
* Chrome trimmed steering wheel, speaker covers and gauge cluster
* Ebony and shale dash along with shale leather seating and door surfaces
* 345-hp high-output engine
* All-Wheel Drive
* StabiliTrak System
* 20-inch chrome wheels with P275/55R20 tires
* Chrome grille and Platinum badging
* Power sunroof
* DVD-based navigation system
* Bose premium music system with six-CD in-dash changer
* XM Satellite Radio

The Escalade ESV Platinum Edition will be available in the following four colors: Black Raven, Quicksilver, Red E and White Diamond ($995 option).

to bad im 19 in college and would have to sell more then a kidney and testical to get one...

God bless 'em for putting chrome on the dash and steering wheel again. Takes me back to the Cadillacs of the '60s, and that's a good thing.

Wow. The price of the Platinum has really gone up, and the feature content is almost the same..2 rows of air con seats, heated/cooled cupholders etc...Yes, know its on a whole new platform, but the gadgets are practically the same on a 2009 as a 2004, with a price increase from $69,730 (2004) to $86,730 (2009) ! GM needs to lay some additional content on the Escalade IMHO.
