After TTAC discovered the Regal GS on Buick Canada's website, photos of the hot mid-size have surfaced in China.

Ahead of its official debut at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show, the Chinese-spec Regal GS has shown its face sporting an Avenir-esque grille, black blade-style wheels, mildly more aggressive bodywork, red calipers and a matching red GS badge.

According to CarNewsChina, the car is expected to bow in the People's Republic equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter good for 255-horsepower, the exact same as the outgoing Regal GS. Mechanically the Chinese-spec GS won't share much with North America's most bitchin' Buick; TTAC already discovered our Regal GS will come kitted with GM's 3.6-liter LGX V6 hooked to a performance oriented version of the torque-vectoring AWD system used in both the Envision and LaCrosse. Horsepower is expected to ring in somewhere North of 300 hp.

Look for more information to become available when the Regal's make their official debut in China sometime later this week, but note China's GS is configured as a sedan--North American's will only get the wagon and sportback derivatives and will need to wait a bit longer to get the official dirt on our Regal GS.
