Rex, I think I've liked all of your concepts so far, but this one......well.....no.

I do like the fluid effects on the metallic skin - almost looks like that all-aluminum Jaguar, but I don't see any particularly redeeming qualities otherwise. It just looks like it has too many distracting elements coming together in an unsatisfying way. The basic body lines have potential, and I like the rear window a little.

I'd ditch the headlights and fix the roof- looks a little too beefy on top. I'm not sure what kind of headlights would be better.....perhaps lose the middle of the "3" headlights in the cluster and have 2 like this?

The headlights are from the Lexus GS430.
I melted the 2 lights together so it wouldn't look so Lexus like.

I think I agree with Ming that you've definitely done better, Rex. . . I don't like the wheels, the lower grill, the headlights, or the "bubbly" roof line. . . I DO like the idea of Buick competing directly with Lincoln since Caddy is now WAY beyond stooping to that level.

I have to disagree... even though I don't like the lights, I tend to like it more than Ming's (just my own opinion). I think new headlights and less of a sloping grill (but the same one overall) would make it a lot better :)

sorry rex...not a big fan of this one. i don't think i could like it no matter what you do as long as i can see the lincoln resemblance......i've just never been a fan of the town car's current design, profile, proportion or anything... :( i don't know...maybe if you tried basing it off of something else? i'd like a curvier looking buick personally, the roof is too flat....i prefer the current Park Ave design.

Those aren't the GTO headlights, are they? :ninja: heehee
I don't know, the roof and lower grill look better, but something just isn't right. . . maybe the upper grill is still too sloped, or maybe it's the curve on the beltline at the rear doors. . . I'm at a loss

Here's version 2:

Nice. :) That's kind of neat what you have going on with the bumper, I might reverse the diagonal lines on the left side of the bumper. I'd like bigger portholes, like the old Buicks had, but you have to work with that slope in the body line and large wheel wells, so I guess the small ones are OK.

It just doesn't look right; it's almost like the front end is too sloped; what if you based it off of the current Park/previous Roadmaster?

The headlights on the first one sorta kinda look like the ones on the Regal/Century replacement originally dubbed LaCrosse, but now that name is gone, I have no clue what they will be calling it now...

it still will be lacrosse in The US.
Well I have read stuff that has said that they do not want to market the same vehicle differently on the same continient (I am sure Rex could back me up here). So its either all or nothing...

The Corsica and Tempest weren't the same car. One was Chevy and one was Pontiac. They didn't have to market the same car 2 different ways. That's the difference. The LaCrosse and whatever the Canadian car will be called will both be the exact same car.

I have heard as well that both cars wuill share the same name, and it will not be Lacrosse
