I stayed up late to see it, but for those who didn't!

http://jalopnik.com/tag/Bob-Lutz-Does-Colbert

It seems to be the latter part of the interview, but still enjoyable. It includes him saying that with a Volt, 80% of people in the US will essentially get the equivalent of 70-80 cents per gallon of gas (3-8 cents per kWh). There's also a funny part about how it will, er, "adequately" jump off the line.... But he says that if you have a car like this, your attitude is not that you want to "lay rubber". :) Then they talk about whether it will get you laid. Hahaha.

I don't think I've ever seem Bob make so many faces, but he did well considering the abuse people usually take on the show!

Bob Lutz is General Motors, and so can you!

I'm usually not a big fan of Lutz, but his sense of humor is still intact:

"...We learned that, yes, it will even get you laid. At least, that's what Colbert asked about, and Lutz was not afraid to say that those who might be party to such whimsy will likely eat granola and have hairy legs. But you'll get some..."

The link is dead, probably thanks to some lawyer at Comedy Central...

I find this Colbert to be self rightious.
But that's the joke! It's why the show and his acting are so brilliant. He's "sending up" or parodying the likes of Rush, O'Rielly, Hannity and their ilk.

Some people don't like seeing Rush, O'Reilly, Hannity being parodied - because they take those guys too way too seriously -- more seriously than Rush takes himself. But they miss the joke in that even those guys find the attention enjoyable. O'Reilly was on Colbert some time back and they both had fun with it.

People should realize that folks like Hannity, as much of a broken record that he is about Obama and Ayers, Obama and Wright, etc. - goes home and can turn it off, or shoot the breeze with Alan Colmes and can chuckle along with parodies like this, as long as they are not mean spirited.

For instance, Rush can have a good time talking to one of the Clintons after running in to them at a restaurant, and such an exchange would leave the most rabid of his "followers" with mouths gaping.

It's life - you say your bit on the air, do your part for your political cause, and then go home -- like Matalin and Carville you live your personal life.

Well, at least I can do that.
