94 Chevy silverado 1500 v6 auto 4l60E trans and no crusie. With the key off all 3 brake lights work. One up on the cab and two on the box. With the key switch on or the engine running the one on the cab works but both lights on the box won't work. Every thing else works. The 4 way blinkers and turn signals and running lights all work. Brake switch seems to check out with test meter. Orange wire in with power and a yellow wire out with power. checked on turn signal switch connector with test meter. White wire in has power with key off and brake petal pressed but when I turn key switch on the voltage goes to zero. What is in between these two wires or am I missing something else. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Do have trailer wiring installed on it??? I always ask that...

I'd guess you are having a turn-signal switch issue...

No trailer harness on the truck. My problem seems to be before the turn signal switch unless there is a seprate wire going into this switch to power brake lights with the ignition switch on.
