Suggestion to ALL auto manufacturers ... FORGET the tweaks ... unless they are FREE (time, manpower, and/or money)!

GIVE US some REAL FUEL FRUGAL vehicles with fuel consumptions LESS than 2.1 gallons/100 miles combined average!

That is 47 mpg and above!

And IF YOU can do it QUICKLY ... WITHOUT small clean TURBO DIESEL engines (like the ones you are NOW selling in Europe) ... MORE POWER to YOU!!!

Keep in mind that in China ... the cost to purchase a vehicle with an engine larger than 2 liters and 4 liters will increase 25% and 40% respectively Sept. 1, 2008.

And India is considering their options to reduce fuel consumption AND emissions at the Ministerial level as of Aug. 19, 2008.

How much money do you think it cost to develop the XFE Cobalt? Not a lot I'd bet. GM actually responded to the market, and quickly, so I think they deserve a bit of praise.

Keep in mind that the United States isn't China or India.

These cars exist already. They are just really small. Can't beat the laws of thermodynamics

Are the 3,500 to 4,000 pound (approximate) Ford Mondeo and Mercedes C-Class really considered small?

I do not think so!

Smaart Aas Saabr, what is your opinion?

The C-class really is a small car...my uncle\'s C320 doesn\'t have a lot of room inside at all.

China should move that phase-in date to September 11.

And from what I've experienced of Indian food, they might well be concerned about emissions at the Ministerial level, August or no August. :)

I would buy one of those cars, just so I could tell everyone my car was an R-RR. Who thought that was a good idea? :lmao:
It's a Japanese car they ALL have stupid names except when they are exported. Would you drive a Corolla or a Super Dolphin Profia?
