I knew they were around but I wasn't aware they were official Holden products. They didn't sell many although you can still see the odd one getting around as a camper even today. It was much more common to see a Bedford van or cab-chassis.

At the time, Ford was selling the F100 like hotcakes which I think was locally assembled. I guess this was Holden's attempt to get in on the act.

Neat, didn't know they sold these in Australia.

I Googled the Ford F100 ad of the same era, but couldn't find any. I know I have some late 70's Modern Motor magazines at home, and they always advertised on the inside of the jacket - I'll photograph one tonight.

I bump this thread by mentionning the Aussie brochures of the 1978 and 1979 Chevrolet light trucks. Not lots of changes compared to the 1977 model.

Also, the Australian version of the 1954 Advance design truck got the new front end like the US counterpart but retained the 2-pieces windshield. http://oldcarbrochures.org/Australi...ia-2/GM-Holden/1954-Chevrolet-Trucks-Brochure/1954-Chevrolet-Trucks-Aus--Side-B
