New Off-Star boasts features not found on competitor's navigation systems
FOR RELEASE: April 1, 2004

DETROIT, MI. –

On-Star has announced that all 2005 model year vehicles will debut with a new version of On-Star simply named Off-Star. Off-Star utilizes the same network that the original On-Star used, however there are improvements all over the board.

Off-Star will use a button on the center console between the front two seats, which resembles a knob. To enter the Off-Star menu, one must easily scroll through various menus and listen to GM’s lawyers before. In these menus a driver will be able to report an accident, report injuries and deaths as well as order in Chinese food and create reservations at their favorite Hotel.

For all the home-boys in the ghettos, Off-Star allows you to call up some of your gangsta friends with the optional Gangsta-Pak. Gangsta-Pak with the push, twist and turn of a knob, allows you to call up your home-boys and talk to them about the fly honeys you just saw on the street, or how much led you just pumped into the other Gang. Tele-Gang, which is built into the Gangsta-Pak, allows you to send a message out to your fellow gangstas for backup while being followed or jumped by enemy gang members.

Another new feature on Off-Star is Supa-Lift. Supa-Lift lets you instantly raise your suspension by 10 feet by utilizing hydraulic pumps similar to those on Garbage Trucks. This allows the driver to pass over other cars in traffic or at a drive through.

The last important feature added to Off-Star is “Live Assistant 2” where every time you start a the vehicle a GM representative will sit right next to you, guiding you every step of the way through twists and turns. “Live Assistant 2” also features a Sober Driver option that allows the Live Assistant to drive your car if you ever become intoxicated while at a party or gathering.
