I started my 93 S-10 with a 4.3 and antifreeze sarted leaking into the cab from a vent under the dash, as well as from the the right hand rear of the engin. Does anyone know what would cause this?
Hmmm... that doesn't sound encouraging! While I don't know anything about the S10, I had a car that leaked under the dash due to a heater core failure.
We have some good tech guys here who can hopefully help you later. With luck it's just a heater hose and not the heater core!
More than likely than not, it is the heater core. I used to have a 93 S-10, and mine went out. Not a fun job, the dash needs to be (mostly) removed. You can bypass the core for now, while you think about it.
Oh yeah, good point. I had to do that. Certainly not an option for winter! Usual;ly it's pretty easy... pull off the inlet and outlet hoses where they go into the firewall and get a coupler to attach them together.
