What did AAM really gain from this fiasco. Giving buydowns over three years of $90-$105K equates to about $15-$17 per hour. So, if a workers wage gets knocked down to $14 from $26 per hr, add the buydown to his new $14 rate and the worker is effectively making more per hr. over the next 3 yrs. Is this the new math taught in schools during the 80's finally making it's impact
