Luxury Airport Transfer Program Launches at LAX this month, Cadillac test drive program allows members to earn AAdvantage miles

FORT WORTH, Texas and DETROIT – American Airlines and Cadillac have formed a partnership to offer a broad series of exclusive benefits to travelers, ranging from luxury, on-site airport transfers to AAdvantage miles earning opportunities to Cadillac exhibits at major airports.

American and Cadillac currently offer a luxury airport transfer program at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). This program identifies ConciergeKey members with tight transfer times and escorts them to their next gate of departure in a Cadillac CTS, SRX or Escalade. By the end of this year, American plans to roll out this program to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, New York’s LaGuardia Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport, pending local approvals.

"American and Cadillac are two iconic American brands, both in the process of redefining the contemporary American luxury experience,” said Suzanne Rubin, president, AAdvantage Loyalty Program. “This is just the beginning of the opportunities we see with our partnership with Cadillac, and we are thrilled to be able to offer these benefits to our customers.”

So basically this is only for ConciergeKey members at AA, which is invite only, meaning it's a very exclusive club. It's a good idea to have Cadillac partner up with an airline (like Porsche, MB, Audi, etc. do with Lufthansa's First Class Terminal in Frankfurt), but I don't think Cadillac's method is a good idea. They should have instead used a concept similar to Lufthansa's where First Class passengers only get to use the Cadillac service.

Wouldn't such ConciergeKey members be flying First often?

As long as they're under 6' and don't ride in the back of a CTS with a sunroof, it'll be all good.

On a related note, the hotel by my school bought at least one Escalade to I guess ferry people around in or something. I've never stayed there, but it seems like a pretty popular place and I usually see some pretty heavy metal (Mercedes, Audi, Aston Martin, Bentley, Maserati) sitting in front of it, so I assume it's a fairly upscale hotel.

When I was picking up my friend, I saw the Escalade roll by with its logo on the door. Its rear lighting at night is very distinctive and equally dramatic.

Perfect for American in Miami.....largest outlet to South America and Europe. And 8 zillion rental cars to rest of Florida. A no brainer here... the airport clubs are a big deal here with so many people waiting for export flights.

Escalades are fairly common at high end resorts. They're the perfect choice for a luxury hotel to cart its guests back and forth in.
Do they have those spinner wheel inserts? That makes them perfect+!

I've flown with American. It oozed alright. Quality? Well low is a quality.
Touche`!

1. Delta
2. Virgin America
3. Alaska
4. JetBlue
5. Frontier
6. Southwest (AirTran)
7. America (US Airways)
8. United

That said, ratings are just ratings. We've flown SW for years and are almost always satisfied with the service. And the attendants are the coolest!
Some miscalcluations/projections regarding weather, loading, etc. dropped SW ratings for the last year.

I've flown 'em all except for Frontier. Alaska and Jet Blue are my favorites. But in the end you are stuck in the same metal tube, hard to differentiate the service.

Now you travel with just as little legroom on an airplane as Cadihack provides in the ATS and CTS.

Cadihack - We offer the most bravado for the dollar of any pretend luxury vehicle maker. We are the standard of expensive mediocrity.

I've never flown American. SFO isn't an American hub, so my exposure to them is limited.

Why not something like Virgin America?

ANyways, it's a great idea for Cadillac to have this exposure.
AA is a good airline. VX is too small, but their service and product is pretty cool. I enjoyed it.

As far as legacies go, AA>DL>UA.

That's exactly why VX would have been a good partner. They're small. And they've got a younger, trendier clientele.
Start in Las Vegas!!! VX flies a **** ton of flights to LAS.
They only do LAX, SFO, and JFK out of Las Vegas. Boston is starting next year. Not enough traffic or demand for them in Vegas. If anything, they'd do SFO. It's their main hub.

I loved VX though:
