What if the Cordoba was launched as a Plymouth instead of a Chrysler as it was originally planned?
Then Fonzie would have been doing the TV ads instead of Ricardo Montalbam.

Just for a little bit more crazyness fun:
-what if Honda had offered an Accord 2-door hardtop and 2-door convertible?

-what if Suzuki also offered the Samurai in 4-door version?

This was sort of covered a few pages back but I'm going earlier. What if way back when the original Vega and Pinto came about, they had used the better of the "captive imports" we got later on instead? How might things have been different today? Input....

GM could had put a subcompact based on the Nova. There was a Collectible Automobile article about the 1968-72 Nova who have a photo of a clay model of a shortened Nova a la Gremlin, that model could had been use as a interim model until they fix other Vega glitches or go straight to the T-chassis. Althought the Opel Rekord and Brazilian Opala could also be another step-gap. However GM Canada used to import Vauxhalls here and we were less lucky here.

Ford did bring some imports like the Cortina, but the value of the British Pound Sterling vs the Canadian Dollar played a role.

In the case of Chrysler, what if they had instead redesigned the Dart/Valiant/Duster/Scamp instead of the C-body Newport/Monaco/Fury or bring the Omni/Horizon 4 years earlier?

Then Chrysler did bring the Cricket from Rootes? What if instead they built the Cricket in North America? http://www.oldcarscanada.com/2015/08/1971-1973-plymouth-cricket.html

Or better yet, no OPEC oil crisis?

True. What IF the good ole USofA had been taking care of their own needs and not having to import all the oil and thus get caught up in all of that mess back then?

What if Chrysler had bring the Hemi 6-Pack once offered in Australia in North America? Just imagine that Hemi 6 replacing the slant 6 under the hood of Dart/Valiant/Duster, Barracuda/Challenger, Coronet/Satellite/Belvedere and Fury/Polara. How GM and Ford would had replied to it?

What if Ford had called the original Mustang, Cougar as they originally planned? Could we talk of "cat-car"/"feline-car" instead of pony-car? Had Ford launched the Cougar instead of 'Stang, would Chevrolet decided to go with the Panther name (as it was the codename) instead of Camaro?
