oh and that coupe looks awesome...and the falcon doesn't look like an epica (IMO) apart from very basic sedan attributes.
Where have you been?
It's the same scenario when Holden replaced the pushrod 3.8 V6 with the new global HF 3.6 V6.
It's not a surprise to them, the duratec 3.5-3.7 V6 will take over.
Like commodore, diesel will be offered around the same time.
Right...might wanna invest in a sarcasm detector
just thought it was weird that something like this made news, when it was pretty common knowledge that the I6 is gonna be phased out
This has been spoken bout before, but a thread would've had to of been made to show the demise of one of Australia's most pre-eminent sports cars. A twin-turbo or turbo V6 will be a while after the new V6 is launched anyway.Right...
The article is about the fact FPV won't have an immediate turbo V6 replacement come 2010.
Not about the inline 6 phase out.![]()
I agree. The issue is, will they have access to the blown V6 come mid 2010 when the NA V6 launch occurs?Ford NA already has an "Eco Boost" -ed V6, which is a
DI + turbo setup. They wont have to develop diddly squat.
