The GT2 has some serious top end.

And there was something definitely wrong with the Z06.

Well... the 911 is smaller... lighter... and more powerful...
So... the results aren't all that surprising -- bad driver or not.
What excuses are there to be made? None.

Corvette provides a solid value at > 50% the cost of the 911 and about 90% of the performance. That ain't bad.

But for sheer performance and technology, if you want the best... it's not a Corvette.... but you gotta pay for it.

Horrible driving. Just about every auto mag has the Z06 running 0-100 in 7.6-8.5 seconds.

The GT2 is also around $192,000 so it doesn't matter anyway.

Is that how they ran it? I didn't watch the vid, I just heard what time they ran from someone.

The GT2 is about ~50lbs lighter with 25 more HP, so it should be a little faster, but nothing that humilates the Z06 in a straight line.

Why was this comparison even made? So the reviewer has an excuse to rag on pushrods and "leaf" springs on a car that achieves almost the same performance at half the price?

this video is a big joke, and from the guys commentary he obviously tells you that. He just takes cheap shots on the vette the sandbags it in the race and misses gears cause he doesn't know how to drive stick just the 'tiptronic' automatic in the porsche. z06 is still the better performance and all around more sensible car to own, IMO.
