7 at sticker and 1 at GMS. Only 4 remaining in stock and 1 Impala.

53 total pieces in the last 7 days which is the best week of the year (averaging 99-110 per month so far this year). Get your mind right salesboys and girls, things are losening up.

If you do not know your cars, get a brochure. If you are watching the news saying how bad the economy is, stop it.

Put a smile on your face, get your inventory sheet and get in front of someone.

Glad to hear sale are doing well in general, the Malibu in particular. Would like to hear other dealers' sales numbers if you guys wouldn't mind sharing, Saturn Aura in specific. Thanks.

Good to hear! I hope your dealership (and all dealerships) can keep it up. What models are selling best (LT, LTZ, etc.)?
Seems at my dealership were only selling fully loaded LTZ 3.6s or total base models.

From 3 dealers reply so far, it seem that these dealers are having a fairly good supplies of Malibu on hand to sell, I hope this applied to all dealers nation wide. Any Saturn dealer out there? How is the Aura's sale doing?

1LT is by far the best. LS is second and LTZ third. We sell a 1LT in 6 days or so, LS in 12 and LTZ in 15-18 (though we did sell the 4-cyl yesterday after having it only 6 days). We have 1 2LT right now and we have had a very small amount of those.

Ended the day on 6 total units with 4 of them being Malibus. The truck delivered two more white ones last night (an LS and a 1LT). It was a great day and got out of here by 6!

It is really impressive since there is only a $1000 conquest bonus cash on these cars. Interestingly enough, none of our Malibu sales yesterday had a trade involved.

We sold 7 on a Saturday a few weeks ago. We had more then 40 at one point we are now in the 20's. We just received 21 Impalas on Friday that puts us over 40 for Impalas. We also had a seven week stretch where we sold more then eighty Malibus.

Just a question, what have generally been your trade in's with some of the other malibu's you sold?

My parents wanted to buy one this weekend but the only dealer that had what close to what they wanted was closed (Monday). They have decided on ordering exactly what they want.

For those at the dealership; they are wanting to order a 2009 2LT so they can get the 6 speed automatic. Is this possible or is it still too early?

The trend is pretty obvious. 40% of the sales involve no trade (probably 30% of those are first-time buyers). 30% are full size pickups and SUVs that are less than 3 years old and the last 30% are REALLY old cars and mostly imports. We have seen more of the "I am going to drive it into the ground"-type cars traded on the new Malibu than we have ever had. It is a very positive sign for us since we really consider those people new customers to the market that were probably not shopping for a very long time.

Probably a bit too early to put in the order becuase of the 2008 build outs going on but not too early to get a deposit in at a dealer. Most dealers are building them the same day they become available to get them to the lot asap. Whoever builds vehicles needs to have a post-it on the monitor of your folks.
