LOL! unless otherwise specified, it seems the format DD/MM/YYYY is "unacceptable" in North America. Anyways, 2010 SRX in Europe... hopefully it has at least a diesel to opt for otherwise forget it.
Actually the US uses only mm/dd/yyyy and is the only country in the world to do so. Canada uses dd/mm/yyyy and mm/dd/yyyy and yyyy/dd/mm in order of frequency.

pretty much YYYY/DD/MM is brought over by Chinese speaking communities and all! OK, maybe "international date format" helped.

In Hong Kong all formats are accepted but yyyy/dd/mm is generally for Chinese and dd/mm/yyyy for English. mm/dd/yyyy... well, not rare, but not frequent. To avoid confusion normally we uses dash to express such mm/dd format. i.e. 7-1 would refer as HKSAR Day and even our National Holiday (Canada Day).

Hungry? That's a country?

It's time to ask your guy's Education Bureau (or whatever that sounds right) to enhance knowledge on other countries, not just only locations of 50 states. I have heard ppl think Canada is part of the USA, obviously ridiculous.

Recently I was like WTF when I read a report that some folks in the States think Singapore is part of China... ok Singapore SURE has majority of Chinese, uses Simplified Chinese, speaks Mandarin with other various dialects... but it does not mean it's part of China and all...
