The Maybach - regardless of whether in version 57 or 62 - represents the pinnacle of modern automotive engineering. Refining such a luxury sedan is very special and therefore BRABUS uses only its very best engineers, technicians, designers and upholsterers to work on this project.

BRABUS adds even more new, exclusive highlights to the interior of the luxury sedan. The interior designers from BRABUS created an interior crafted from the finest leather and Alcantara, further enhanced by color-contrasted decorative seams.

The BRABUS developers further designed additional interesting features for the standard entertainment system of the Maybach. The 16:9 color monitors of the BRABUS equipment are integrated into the back of the front seatbacks and measure 15.2 inches (production: 9 inches).

At the push of a button the Maybach is transformed into a luxurious office on wheels: The monitors serve as computer screens for a computer custom-developed for use in a car. It features an 80 Gigabyte hard drive and is connected to the Internet at up to 1.5 times the speed of ISDN using a W-LAN and a fourplex GPRS router. For comfortable operation the system features a handy wireless keyboard and a wireless optical gyro mouse.

Externally a Maybach refined by BRABUS can be distinguished by its custom-tailored BRABUS Monoblock VI light-alloy wheels with 21-inch diameter.

BRABUS further refines the elegant lines of the Maybach with two auxiliary headlights integrated stylishly into the production front apron using two precise-fitting inserts. The auxiliary headlights function as daytime running lights.

BRABUS makes the Maybach even more superior with the BRABUS SV12 bi-turbo increased-displacement engine. The twelve-cylinder bi-turbo engine delivers a maximum power output of 640 hp / 471 kW at 5,100 rpm and a gigantic peak torque of 1,026 Nm, available from 1,750 rpm.

Performance of the luxury sedan benefits accordingly: With BRABUS SV 12 engine the Maybach 57 accelerates bin just 4.9 seconds from 0 - 100 km/h. Top speed is an electronically limited 300 km/h.

Anyone know the conversion to lb ft for 1,026 Nm? thanks
this is one of the ugliest luxo cars out there, other than bmw's new lineup...

why cant cars in teh catagory push the envelope, just a little bit, like the sixteen concept did, i think they would still sell like mad, and when you get a chance to see one youd actually get excited. well for more reasons than its a very expensive car.
Whoa, ULTRA luxurious and ULTRA fast. Cool....I wish I had the money...
I bet rich guys were fed up having to chose only between rolls and bentley, especially the germans...

On a more hilarious note, anyone noticed how this year xg 350 is stylled after this thing... the same way you can read ferrari 456 in their tiburron or mercedes/jaguar into their sonata...
those guys stop at nothing!
can't wait for a wannabe viper or murcielago-hehe-
hmm... if i had the $500000CND to buy one, i'd take it. saw one at the CIAS, and it looked great. however, i'm somewhat saddened by the fact that the car has a better computer than me :D

Hey, everyone in the industry copies and if you have to rag on Hyundai you might as well rag on every other manufacturer! But, it is really funny how the Tiburon looks like a Ferrari very much. Never noticed it! Good eye...

LOL So true! I bet the Maybach's airbag sensors have more megahertz than my computer!
Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I don't find the XG350 or the Tiburon ugly. They are both certainly way better than their previous generation's styling.
whoa, did i read that right. someone says the tiburon looks like a ferarri? put down the crack pipe, holmes :D

the tiburon has so many different shapes and angles on its body, it makes the ION look like a Z06. too many bisecting angles, mixed in with curves. that thing is fugly.

don't get me wrong, making a 15-25k car looking like the best of the best is a good thing. ok, I find the sonata somehow ridiculous looking, but the tiburon and xg look probably very nice compared with the rest of their lineup...
for who doubts the ferrari lookalike, check those links side by side:

ferrari

hyundai
Car still looks like a leather and wood clad turd... IMHO of course. :D

Er... 750 lb/ft from 1750RPM?

Eeek. And the speed is electronically limited to 180mph? Well, I guess for the half million bucks you're spending, you sure are getting one hell of a nice car.
Actually the XG350 has been out BEFORE the maybach.

the maybach concept dates from '98, and for sure there were sketches around earlier...
Hopefully you don't want to say that this thing is inspired bythe mighty xg?? ;)
my grandfather (rich german dude) has a maybach.....there are no words for it. He lives in Germany, though, so I dont see it often.
If I had that much money I'd tune the freak out of my 'Vette and buy a helicopter.

and if you'd allready had the twin turbo vette and chopper? ;)
It looks like an oversized Hyundai and has no clout regardless of the luxury, quality and pricetag. Is there even anyone still alive who knows what a Maybach name used to be? If Cadillac had thier Sixteen concept in production it would whip Maybach and Mercedes azz!
