2500 Silveraido wont accelerate past 98

The fastest speed allowed on the freeway is irrelevant, I was hanging about 80-85 MPH when I got boxed in and the semi-truck on my right started to move into my lane I could not back off due to the 2-semis behind me trying to pass the slow one I was trying to pass which is why the only safe location was the meridian. The speed I drive is none of GM's business but mine anyway and GM has clearly been misleading with a speedometer that goes to 140 MPH. Had I been foretold of the top end, I might have never gotten into that situation because I would have known that it would not get-up and go when needed. 35+ years and many thousands of miles of driving GM products and I can cite many situations where acceleration well beyond the speed limit is required to avoid accidents. Gratefully the truck handles well enough that it handled the dirt meridian area very well.

The 1996, 3500 not owned by my kid and my 2001 3500 dully "both which I still have or can access" will both peg the speedometer. So when did GM or any of the manufactures for that matter, decide that they will limit the vehicle to what a tire manufacture "that they chose" says is as fast as the tire can tolerate. When did GM or any others tell me what tire brand I have to use and fix the speed to their "GM's" choosing of the tire company. They have no idea what tires I am running nor any right to tell me what tires I will run after I purchase the vehicle. To top it all off they "after I have purchased it" they have no right to tell me anything about what I do to or with the vehicle. This is strictly my decision and for them to attempt to limit my choice as to what I do with my equipment is clearly an infringement on my rights.

So lets see if I have this correct: GM has determined to protect those who do not know their vehicles capabilities and limitations, I am required to comply with something I did not know about, which may or may not put me in harms way and completely disagree with after spending that kind of $ especially after not being told this is a limitation "we" have decided is best for you. "HEIL HITLER" "don't think so".
