Keep it as much stock as possible, the optinal 19 inchers that you can buy look big enough to be 20s and very styleish. I'd put a ste on dads White Terrain if i could afford it plus they come with the best tire IMO, Bridgestone. ^^

http://www.gmaccessorieszone.com/Chevrolet/en-US/Equinox/Wheels/19+Inch+Wheel+-+LF671/2012 With doing this you have the dealer install them and they set everything with the speed indicator and all that for you so no fus. ^^

Wrong place for such a question
The forum is titled "Wheels and Tires Discussion Area" and the site itself states that it's "dedicated entirely to news about GM vehicles", of which the Chevy Equinox the OP mentioned is one example.

HPO doesn't mean anything to us. There should be a number. My guess is that the offset is around 35mm.

My system recommends a 42-65mm offset for an 8.5" wide wheel. You can probably go a little lower than that but not more than 6mm lower or you'll be sticking out beyond the fenders.

As for tires, the 255/45R20 may work but I would recommend test fitting them. This size is about 1" taller than your stock tire. Clearance with the rear should be fine but the front may rub at full turn without some fender liner modifications. If you are looking for a bolt up and go set up look at the 255/40R20 or 265/40R20 sizes instead.

Here's a tire size calculator so you can estimate the effect on your speedometer: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/brochure/info/tmpInfoTireMath.jsp

FYI, we can special order XD wheels and we guarantee the lowest delivered price. If you would like some more assistance with an order please call us at 1.888.459.4080 and speak with Pat at ext 51878. If you have a Discount Tire or America's Tire location in your area feel free to contact them directly as well.

A 2012 Equinox has a PCD of 5x120 and NOT 5x114.3 and therefore will NOT work. Whoever, a 20x8.5 with the correct offset of +40/45mm and a PCD of 5x120mm will easily fit on this car. The correct tire size is 255/40R20. This is a day to day tire/wheel combination that is a very common fitment that meets all vehicle requirements.
And as an aside.......GM or any other car brand does NOT always make the BEST possible OE wheel/tire combination [or radio for that matter]. It is usually possible to find an alternative equal or better choice in the aftermarket if you know what you are doing. Or if you trust one who does........

5x114.3/120 is a duel drilled wheel. It has 5x114.3 and 5x120 bolt patterns drilled into it, (ten holes total).

Might not be a problem in Miami but ANY aftermarket wheel will very quickly turn to crap up here from road salt in winter. Most everyone keeps their factory set or a set of steelies for winter. Otherwise chrome lasts like one season.
