It appears the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is getting ready to undergo hot weather testing.

The Camaro ZL1 is getting a facelift for the 2019 model year, following in the footsteps of the standard Camaro model. Depending on how you feel about the recent Camaro refresh, you may be relieved to see the ZL1 doesn't appear to be getting as significant changes. The prototypes spotted are wearing new headlights, tail lights, and wheels, but the aggressive styling of the bumpersremain intact.

Of further interest is the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE prototype, which is wearing a smaller, lower rear wing than what's currently found on the ZL1 1LE. It's unclear whether the more subtle spoiler will be available as an option alongside the larger rear wing.

It's unlikely Chevrolet will do much under the hood of the refreshed ZL1, so expect to see a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine with 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Look for it to arrive before the end of this year, with slightly controversial styling in tow.
