The pricing must not be a joke because people are buying them. Also the packages like the redline sell very well for chevrolet. The silverado's sold out of their special editions so those who think not have no idea what people are buying. Also i have not heard of timing chain issues in the 3.6. I have couple of friends and they have no problems with them. Now the transmissions were a issue but they covered it under a extended warranty.

Love how this is suppose to be a GM site but I see more GM bashing than positive post.

What were the transmission issues? We have a 2011 Traverse LTZ and occassionally it clunks when shifting from Reverse to Drive. Feels like the transmission isn't fully engaged when we hit the gas. Have had our dealership look at it a few times when under factory warranty but it was/is so sporadic they couldn't replicate it.

Never had any issues or heard of anything with the 3.6 timing chains.
