Visited my local dealer today and heard about an issue with 2015 Tahoe LTZ's magnetic ride suspension. At approx 25 mph the suspension goes hard and as best described chatters like going over a railroad crossing. At approx 45 it goes away and all is fine. The problem has appeared on four or five delivered units. The official GM response is it must be the roads in the area. The dealer service manager is pretty sure it is a software issue. The issue has not appeared on any 2015 Suburbans as of yet.

I have 900 miles on my 2015 Yukon Denali XL and I'm having the same problem. Feels like you're driving on the rumble strips. They claim an engineer at GM wants me to drive it for 200 miles and it should go away. This is the kind of thing that isn't going away by driving the car. For $75K, there better be a fix for this. I just traded my 2011 Denali XL with 73,000 miles and the original tires ( all highway miles) and it rides smooth as silk. Hope they come up with seething soon.

If I were a betting man, I'd go with your service advisor. Thanks for the laughs, though, GM. LOL.

Do these people ever learn? Have they not recalled how many vehicles?
NO THEY CAN'T. :fall:

Other than the ride ( which is a biggie). The new Denali is amazing in its appearance and amenities. The seats are the most comfortable of any of the Denalis I've had in the past. I love the dash and heads up display. The adaptive cruise control has me using cruise more than i ever had in the past. The fact that the rear seats fold at the touch of a button is a great addition. I'm in my sixties and those back seats we're getting heavier every year. Just make sure you drive before you buy.

I am experiencing a very, very rough ride in my 4x4 2015 LTZ Tahoe as well! I even went to the extent of changing out the tires from the stock Continentals to Michelin LTX series tires. This tire upgrade somewhat improved the ride quality, but I am still very dissatisfied with the overall roughness in the suspension. The car feels extremely stiff compared to other previous generation SUVs with magnetic suspensions. I sincerely hope GM issues this fix quick, cause my car is going to rattle to pieces!

After 2500 miles my Yukon Denali XL still has the roughness issue. Nothing has gotten better. The dealer got another one in and they told me to drive it. It was worse than mine. I made the salesman drive it back and he agreed. They took mine in the shop yesterday and hopefully they come up with a fix as I really like everything else about the car.

I am thinking about getting one of these in a few months, but with all of the recalls, it has me doubting GM product. Does this seem like a "tuning" issue or something actually wrong with MRC?

My story - 2015 Tahoe LTZ - and from day2 have had ride problems - talked to big GM and they originally told me that since all the Tahoes on the lot did it - that this was "normal" but yet if you take an LT with no magna ride, I found the ride to be smoother. This is a total mess up with GM. My Tahoe has been in the shop for 3 weeks and they have swapped just about everything they could think of- but yet big GM says this is normal. The ride is really bad, I have found a way to make it go away for a short period - disconnect the negative side of the battery and it seems to reset the "memory" - but after 100 miles the ride is rough. I am telling all that have this issue - call GM, because after the many calls they received - they finally admitted to me that there is a lot of complaints. It is very sad, I have been a GM buyer for many decades, after this entire run around and a 70,000 dollar SUV that rides rougher than the Captiva (the rental they gave me)...This will be my last GM, regardless on how they fix it. Maybe if this was life threatening, they would react, after all they are setting the priorities based on lawsuits. I think my biggest frustration is that big GM was trying to convince me that this was a normal. This will go back in the shop on Monday - 14 July.

GM is a cheap brand. All they think about is themselves and shareholders. They look for the cheapest part and hope it lasts for a couple of years. That's GM keep buying crap. They don't last like they use to, that simple. Imagine Ferrari uses GM Magnetic Ride.

Our 2015 Suburban LTZ on factory 22s has the same conditions, including a dealer that keeps trying to say 'they all do that'. When we took delivery, the wheels balance was way off and was blamed for the harshness. It now rolls better, with a slight high frequency vibration in the steering wheel at 70+, but on roads with TINY expansion cracks at 55mph the ride is terrible. It absolutely feels like the shocks are full hard, no compliance.

Love it other than the ride. Adaptive cruise, ac, seats, dash, engine/trans - awesome.

Glad I didn't go with the LTZ, cause I'm not even really that happy with the ride in my LT Suburban. Seems to handle the big stuff ok, but little bumps, especially a series of them, make you feel like the truck is either going to shake itself apart or rattle itself right off the road. In the 3 weeks I've been driving it, my 18 month old has learned to groan over certain spots in our daily commute, so she can hear her voice quiver. And don't even think about pulling in the driveway at more than 3mph. The rebound from going up the curb will launch a pop can out of the cup holder. Granted, there is no sway or lean when cornering, but we're paying for it in other ways. Good luck to you guys with the LTZs. And let me know if you find out anything that will help us poor people in our LTs. :)

I am having the exact same problem. They have balanced tires, & replaced tires, still no better, I was told at first that GM is aware of the problem and working on a fix. I should check with my dealership every couple of weeks to see if a TSB or fix has came out yet. I called today and they told me that they have been told to do NOTHING to the vehicle, that it is just a characteristic of the vehicle. I have complained since day one, then have been patiently waiting for a fix, now they tell me this! We purchased 3 new Chevrolets in one week, and have purchased 3 others in the last 2 years. Usually get a new one every two years. I am seriously considering getting rid of all of them and never buying another Chevrolet!!!

I have a 2015 Suburban LTZ. There are a lot of good things about it, but the ride sucks. Feels like my teeth will fall out in my rough city streets. Dealer says no fix. The dealership owner wants to drive it. They reduced my tire pressure to 30, a little better but not really. I will try the battery disconnect. Thought about trading with dealer for a new LT as long as they give my the $$ difference, fine on the highway sucks in the city. 4900 miles BTW. Let me know your thoughts.

I tried an experiment. My 2015 Tahoe LTZ developed a harsh ride, as if the tires were over-inflated. Four days ago I removed the fuse for the compressor that does the ride leveling (fuse #5 in the engine compartment) thereby disabling the compressor. As the air has naturally leaked out of the system the ride has improved substantially. I'd be interested if others would try this and report back.

I have a 2015 Yukon Denali XL. 10,000 miles. Terrible from day 1. Only cure I've found is to tow about 5,000 pounds. I've had it in to the dealer twice for diagnostics. Both times was told it is nothing more than the 22" rims. I'd like to swap out to 20's to test their theory. Are all of the above complaints also on units with 22" wheels?
