Why not just keep with the name Equinox?

I see a lot of Camaro with the new GM intergrated radio in there.

and something I didnt notice before....there seems to be the return of the push button shifter for manual mode on the shifter there.

Who said they are going to change the name? The Equinox already has brand equity.

I totally see the Camaro in the gauges.

Ummm... they already used the name Equinox once. Time to change it.

Besides, the Equinox was once selling well over 10,000 units per month. Now they're down near 5000. If the Cobalt is going to get a new name then the Equinox should too.

Never thought you would see the Camaro's gauge cluster get put into a CUV/SUV/Truck.
Not saying it's a bad thing. I actually like this more than the concept's gauge cluster. Not as gaudy.

If you constantly change names you never develop any kind of reputation with buyers.

Equinox is a great name imo and should stay. Just as Cobalt shouldn't change unless they decide to revert back to Cavalier, which I doubt.

This new interior looks great. I like the interior of our '08 Equinox Sport, but this new one is even better.

Oh I know I was joking. You and I know that, but GM doesn't.

I never disliked the Equinox design, and this looks like another improvement. I just felt the fuel economy and choice of engine were off the mark, dramatically. If the new Equinox can't offer an affordable, fuel efficient model, then I'll pass like I have with other fat & thirsty crossovers.

If the vehicle can't tow much, gets mediocre fuel economy, and has interior space not so different from my compact car based Forenza Wagon, then other than a high seating position, what's the point?
