Seriously.....and this is coming from a person who does not hate Toyota/Lexus....but these pictures make it look like a Hundai Elantra.

Some of that switch gear is the same as in my 2002 corolla, door switches for windows, mirrors control, cruise control switch, lights and indicator switches, etc, and they are the same as you would find in a 1995 Corolla or Camry, so, anyone wonders why Toyota is soo profitable?

Having your workers work themselves to death for free helps too.

I'm not big on Lexuses (Lexii?).....so I'm not quite sure how different this is from what we already got. The wheels and 'unique' taillamps look pretty good though IMO.

I wish the IS 350 came with a manual.

...not to mention the basic frame, windows, etc.

I looked at the IS models about half a year ago while comparing the MB C-class, G35 and Vovlo V50. In my opinion the IS, especially interior wise, was the biggest disappointment.

One of the biggest problems I had with the IS interior was the lack of cup holders up front. It only had the one cup holder in the center console and it looked like an after thought. It really was a deal breaker and something that made it fall out of the running.

Come on now. Jeez, next thing you're going to tell me is your Blazer has the same basic frame as a Corvette.

A several year old Corolla and a new Lexus have nothing of the sort in common. Lexus' V6 engine is mounted front-to-back, and is RWD.
Corolla's I4 is mounted side-to-side, and is FWD.

Does a Cobalt share any frame peces with a Cadillac CTS?

Everything tips over in that cup holder too so all it's good for is holding change and the key fob. There is a 2nd one but it's inside the console which you have to have open so it stabs you in the elbow (the console slides part way open then lifts up from the front). It holds cups better but you'll get water in there from the cup.

CACressida,

I respectfully disagree. Many, many automotive journalists have praised the 2008 and newer CTS for a world class interior. In the pictures you provide, I don't like the color combination inside the CTS but I think it still looks better than the IS.

The CTS's interior isn't that impressive - or perhaps impressive is not the best word, it is imply not to everybody's tastes. But the Lexus IS has probably the least appealing interior of any serious premium car around. I am sorry.

That said, why assume everybody wants a LARGER car?
