I hope they build this. Hannity has been beating the drum for it on his show. He is going to order one.

This must be a bitter thing for GM. None of the full size 2 mode trucks are selling worth a tinker's-damn. All that money spent to develop a full size SUV that gets 20 MPG in town and no one cares. If they miscalculated it was probably in the "political" arena. If the 2 mode system gave these big trucks 30MPG it probably wouldn't have helped. No one wants to be seen driving anything of this size. The fact that it gets similar milage to a Camry doesn't seem to matter.

Begin vague is a way of greenwashing.
I guess you are talking about megeebee (I always thought the term "greenwashing" was reserved for advertisements from corporations, not posts by individuals on the internet). Every ad I have seen from GM that compares the two-mode SUVs to the Camry CLEARLY states city mileage, not overall mileage.

Well, I am sure you would think that the pricing on these is not very - enticing? :confused:Perhaps this is actually demonstrating that people are more 'sensible' on how much they are willing to spend on a Hybrid SUV.

I would buy one (actually want to buy one) but NOT at that $50K price.

Sure, it has lots of goodies and you get a hybrid....but lets face it, we just want a Hybrid Tahoe without all that useless extra '[email protected]'. Yeah, yeah. I may be in the minority...or may be not - being that they are not selling.

But, could this be the reason...?

I am waiting for the GMC Sierra 1500 Hybrid...if it ever comes out, because I have more use for a truck and actually like trucks more than SUVs....:yup:

GM is subsidizing every one of the dual mode hybrids that is currently being sold. If you do the math, 10,000 sold per year will total to $100,000 total subsides to GM. That's not including the hybrid trucks that are coming out next year.

Wow, you're tough. So you must be right. I'm sure doing that will help sales of SUV's and save the US auto industry.
