It's amazing how much gas mileage chevy got out of this car. 25 city 37 Highway according to www.fueleconomy.gov . Also the cobalt base engine has about 155 horsepower and 155 ft-lbs. of torque. But it only comes in stick.

So what is the deal with XFE? Is it a different trim level? Does it cost more? I couldn't find much on the Chevy site although I didn't look for too long.

I thought I read yesterday that only 8% of Cobalts are XFEs also, which sounds dumb to me.

That's what I was thinking when I read all up in here about the "XFE". It turns out every LS and 1LT 2.2 I4 5 speed manual IS an XFE. 8% sounds right.......Manuals are getting hard to find (all brands).

Heck I was shocked when I heard 80% of Corvettes were automatics, I wonder if it's higher now.

I've seen at least one around here, and have to admit I've been tempted. At the right price, it would make more financial sense than the Prius, and would be more fun. Strange thing is, it does use the same tires, if not exactly the same size...

155hp and 37 mpg is good stuff. I wonder if any of the SS suspension pieces can be put on a regular Cobalt?
