Nice to see the G8 come.

Sad to see the Grand Prix leave..... They should atleast have kept the GT name for one more model year, or atleast the infamous GTP.

 

Too bad. The 3.8 SC is a great engine and should replace those plain 3.5 and regular 3.6.

 

Looks like the 2008 Impala changes are listed there too. Mostly, new colors and the availability of Stabilitrac from the looks of it.

Some models go back to a 6-way power driver seat though, too (from an 8-way power).

 

I wonder how long the GXP will stick around? I can see them turning the car into a fleet special about half way thru the model year, when the G8 hits.

Also did anyone notice that the G8 has a base and GT versions, but no GXP? I wonder if they will make one for 2008, or wait until 2009.

 

I think they should've at least offerered the base Grand Prix with more options/standard features to make up for the loss of the GT model. Too bad to see it go, but I'd probably lease an 07 GP if I'm ending up getting another one.
