Hello All:

Our 2008 Escalade EXT AWD with the G80 rear differential is slowly seeping and leaking small amounts of oil onto our driveway. The truck has only 3500 miles on it, and it's doing this. My dad is a very gentle driver, and it has never been abused so far (he doesn't let me drive the vehicle at all unless he is in it). I was wondering if there are any TSB's or other alerts on why this could be possibly happening on a $70,000 truck that is practically brand new.

It is vey unlikely that it is major.
Most likely it is the cover gasket (RTV) or the pinion seal.
Neither are a big deal (from a defect standpoint) and both
should be covered under warranty.
