There is a Chevy dealer about an hour from me that has a brand new 2007 Silverado Crew Cab Z71 LTZ. It's listed as almost $44,000 on the sticker. Dealer mgr said he ordered three of them identical and the first two sold in a couple of weeks, but this one has been there nearly two years.

Question is, what is a fair price for an essentially 2-year old new Silverado? He said the best he could do (we weren't dealing, I just asked in casual conversation) would be about $36,000. I wanted to laugh b/c I knew I could get an 08 like it for about the same. Just wondering what thoughts you all may have on what you think you'd pay.

Wow, I'd say $10k off of MSRP for a loaded 2008 is a good price (depending on area...it seems not all parts of the country are struggling selling trucks). So a 2007, I'd shoot for $31k.

^ lmao! Like I have no idea what I'm talking about. I just helped a friend buy a new 2007 Tahoe about 2 months ago. He got 10k off of MSRP. Right now, gas prices are even higher....and sales are declining further.

Or maybe you like paying too much? Go for it I'd say.....randomly of course.
