I didn't read through all the posts to check if anybody asked but.Why does it seem that if a Silverado 1500 or Sierra 1500 that has the 6.0 or the Denali with the 6.2 the exhaust pipe goes straight out under the bumper and not a 90 on the pass side like a 5.3?

It has nothing to do with engine, its for DOD (AFM). If you get DOD, there is an extra resonator on the end of the exhaust, therefore the pipe goes straight out the back because of space. Non-DOD trucks get exhaust out the side.

The 5.3 L sierra I just drove has AFM and it exits out the side so....?

Well they could have had some of the GM aftermarket exaust on one or two of them? I really do not think it's that big of a deal.

5.3 non-DOD's exist.
On not having AFM on some 5.3's I believe you are thinking about Flexfuel not AFM.

Greetings everyone. I am new to this site and this is my first post. I just ordered a new SLT in steel grey with the light cashmere leather with dark cashmere accents for the interior. Does anyone have any pics of this interior? I am having second thoughts about how the dark cashmere and grey will look. If you have seen this combo please let me know your thoughts.
My 2004 Silverado had the grey leather and I wanted something different this time. Just wondering if I made the right decision.
Thanks,

theres an option now on the new 07's for a dealer installed catback exhaust. maybe thats what it is? i figure that probably comes stock on the denali.

Congratulations on the new truck! I don't have any pictures but I just wanted to say that I think the Sierra will outsell the Silverado (at least here in Canada.) judging by the number of Sierra's I have already seen. Don't have second thoughts about the colour combo. They will all look great on that truck!

I would take the Sierra over the Silverado, but I doubt it'll ever sell more than the Silverado.

I'm waiting till I can build a base model of the Sierra. I'd like to eventually get a 2500HD with the duramax/allison combo. A nice one with vinyl seats, rubber floors, no frills at all. Gotta make sure it has the towing package with snow plow prep though.

personally, i think 20's are a waste.....17's max and that might be alittle big depending on the tire.
