Can Someone asist me? I used the template from the FAQ page, and thought it was all set up? I can see it from both spots? What gives?

go to that car spy shot website (google for "Car spy shots")

They have a thread with working pics in there somewhere.
Basically the renders are obvious chops/modified drawings.

The one from R&T looks like they took the current CTS and applied some acid to it so it melted some of the sharp edges and it looks a little more curved. that and it was given the STS pull style door handles.

the Popular mechanics pic looks like they flattened the CTSv and made it wider....

kind of like how they drew the CTS in that simpsons episode. (in other words, not proportional).

That is proabably not even close to what it will really look like. I think it would be a mistake if they use a cab-forward design on the next-gen. CTS.

The CTS has an edgy, radical look, they just need to evolve that look to hit it in with the rest of the upcoming Cadillac lineup.

That is one of the worst chops I have ever seen in my life, I hope the new one doesn't look like that...yuk!
As an owner of the current CTS, I disagree, I think it is a rather nice evolution from the current design, although I do agree this is just a digital rendition, and more than likely not what it will turn out to look like.

What do I say? We can't make a judgement until the real car comes out with pictures and such. Chops and renderings aren't exactly accurate. Many automakers are actually off with their predictions of how a car's going to look...so I can't believe this yet or make any 'true' assumptions...until the car comes out, of course.

Saving up to buy one.

I actually like what i see. the first cts almost looks like the designers didnt really know what to do w/ the A&S look. Now they do - this looks well proportioned with less awkward shapes than the current design (ie the rear tail lights IMO). I also like this because it shows that Caddy isnt wimping out on the A&S look, although I do like the STS. A luxo brand needs to make a statement, to kind of polarize people a little.

I like it. It appears to overcome the awkwardness-es of the current design, a car that I have grown to really like, but which sometimes, from certain angles, makes me wince.

And it's clearly an evolution of the current car, which makes it do-able. Mark me down as happy about this.

(It's an interesting thing about photoshopping: when you do it to an existing car, you get something that's capapble of bing produced, because the changes aren't necessarily so huge.)

One thing is that it looks as if its moving away from any type of 3 series fighter, to more of a 5 series fighter.
You can look at it two ways, it competes with the 3-series in price, and 5-series in physical stature. The CTS has always been that way.
