So I have had this annoying issue with my 2006 2500HD Sierra. It was intermittent at first, but eventually lead to it not working on a full time basis. I have a crew cab truck, and at first the power locks would sometimes unlock the back doors and at others it would not. I can lock the doors fine, but it will not unlock the doors. It currently is in this situation. I have a feeling it is some time of lose connection (somewhere) but I cannot find the lose connection. Does anyone know where the connection is for this lock actuator? Has anyone else experienced this problem? I already tried the connections that run along the drivers side of the cab (under the plastic door jam area) and nothing seemed to help the issue.

I look forward to hearing back on this issue, as it is really annoying for being such a damn expensive truck! If it wasn't already out of warranty, I would just take the damn thing back to the dealership!

Thanks!!

Sorry about the delay.

The tech says the Sierras that he's had with the same problem were fixed with a door lock relay.

At the fuse box under the hood, there's a door lock relay, a door unlock relay, and a fuse marked LOCKS. My guess is that the unlock relay is bad.

I believe you are going to find a bad fuse block on the drivers side of the dash. Replaced several of those on the gmt800's for rear doors not locking or unlocking. Basically the relay terminals in the fuse block are bad, and requires replacement of the entire block. Not that big a deal though as far as labor/cost. I think there is a bulletin on that problem, I'll try and look it up, but dealerworld is down right now....
