Oh man, those Ford diesels really sucked... loud and ugly sound, took a lot of fuel, needed frequent repairs... really just an old International Harvester V8 from the late-70's.
I've worked and owned many, many diesels (cars, boats, tractors, trucks, lawnmowers, etc.) and the Powerstroke was the one whose engineers seemed to have a stroke while designing it...
