My son lost our extra set of keys for our 2004 Tahoe along with the key fob. I bought a replacement set on ebay (two). I followed the on, off, on, off instructions and the new keyfobs won't program. My original set programs fine, so I know I am doing the instructions fine.

I returned those two and bought another set off someone completely different. I tried to program the two new ones, and they won't program either. I hold the lock and unlock for over 30 seconds, but no go. I hold my originals for 20 seconds and it programs fine.

The model number on my working set says LHJ011. That is the same number on my new sets.

Any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong....or could I have really received 4 bad sets so far?

THanks,

Dennis

Do the part numbers match? Model number may not mean all that much, part number is everything. As always there can be numerous part number changes, especially on a ten year old car. You may need the help of a dealer parts man to confirm what numbers will work.
