Here is what you need to do about the leaking gas problem.

1. Call dealer and make appointment

2. Drive to dealer or have Trailblazer towed to dealer at their expense

3. Get it fixed and let them know you are disgusted and get free oil change !!!

>> This is known as the three step process to fixing any problem with a GM vehicle << GOOD LUCK !!!

If it clicked off, there may have been gas that splashed back against the nozzle.

It does have a drain for it to go under the car.

For your comfort, get a bottle of water, and with the gas cap still firmly in place, pour the water into the plastic pocket around the gas cap.

Note how the water drains and see if this matches what you saw. Do not use a gallon of water, but maybe a couple ~6oz or less, as not much more than that should have splashed.

If there is a leak in your fuel tank, it will illuminate your Service Engine Soon lamp as part of the evap sysyems check.

My 2003 TB EXT LT had a cracked gas tank. The crack was where the filler neck meets the tank body. The check engine light kept coming on just like it would if the gas cap was loose. Take yours back to the dealer...
