Hi all. I have a 2000 Blazer with a 4.3 vortec that normally runs great. When i last parked it everything was fine. But i just went out to start it and it immediately revs up to about 2500 rpm then falls back to about 500 rpm in a few seconds running very rough and stalls. After about four attempts at starting it no longer drops revs and stalls.. it just stays at about 2000rpm. When i let it sit for a few minutes it goes back to revving high then stalling. I unhooked the MAF just to see what happens and no difference. So far it has not thrown any SES light. Any help on where to start would be greatly appreciated. THanks in advance

Did a check engine light come on? If so, some auto parts stores have scan tools they will loan you to check the MIL.

A good place to start would be to check the vacuum line.
