Set early too. Not only are there wedding preparations but I have to get the honeymoon all figured out.

So the lady and I love drives, looking at housed and seeing the scenery, just talking and listening to music. So I suggest one of the great drives in the USA as the honeymoon, the PCH (I have done about 100 miles in CA and 50 in Oregon a while back loved it). She loves the idea and is more excited for the drive than the wedding.

Anyway, for the car, I have got it narrowed down to an SSR. Convertible but lots of space for bags, collectibles, antiques and what ever else we might come back with. I have always liked the look and feel like it would be perfect. Now the trip is about a year and a half off but buying a car for it seems like I might need that much time.

Anyway, I would like suggestions from people that have driven the PCH. Is that a good selection of vehicle? How long would it take to get from San Diego to Vancouver? Anything else I might be missing?

I've driven PCH, it's an amazing road especially the section that goes through Big Sur. I've done San Clemente right after Camp Pendelton to a small town called Bolinas in Marin County. I did 17 Mile Drive in Monterey which is absolutely worth the toll, and definitely a must. I would say get any convertible. Maybe renting a Corvette might be a better Idea than buying an SSR. Or a rental Mustang would be a perfect car.

I was thinking of renting a corvette but Hetrz is renting the car at 700 a week the trip would be almost 3 weeks and the miles would be almost 4,000. I will buy either an SSR or a Vette just need space and a drop top and something I would like to drive on weekends.

The LS2 SSR wouldn't be a bad choice. You might find one with suspension upgrades for sale on a forum, but if you'll be hauling trinkets in the back you might not be totally interested in corner carving.

BTW, incredible drive and honeymoon idea!

My wife and I used to love going on drives before.... the spawn! :lmao:

Great idea for a honeymoon. Getting an SSR for the trip is sure to endear it to you for years to come too. I know very little about the car so I'll leave it at that. Congrats on teh engagement by the way. :D
