UPPER MARLBORO, Md. -- Two men were indicted Tuesday in the deaths of eight people killed when a car plowed into them as they gathered to watch an illegal street race in suburban Maryland. Darren Bullock, 20, and Tavon Taylor, 18, were each charged with eight counts of vehicular manslaughter, as well as reckless driving and street racing, in the Feb. 16 crash.

LAMRONH,
1 mph = 1.433 feet per second. If you're racing down the road at 100 mph, that's 143 feet per second. Most cars need more than 150 feet to stop from 70 mph.

I don't care if you're Mario ******** Andretti, if you're street racing at 100 mph and someone who doesn't know how fast you're moving pulls out 50 feet in front of you, you'll hit them with more force than driving off the side of a 5 floor parking garage, and you won't even have time to start hitting the brakes.

I don't care how good of a driver you thought you were, if you were running at 100 mph or faster on regular roads, YOU ARE AN IDIOT, and luck is the only reason you haven't caused someone's death.
