Sorry if this is a repost... just saw this commercial while watching the Mariners-Rangers game...Anyone else hear the new Jeep marketing ploy "$2.99 Gas Guarantee" where upto the first 12,000 miles in each of the next 3 years you get $2.99/gallon gas for buying a Jeep?

Now THAT'S an interesting one...

It's in lieu of the rebate so Chrysler is hedging their bet that the gas will be less of a difference than the rebate. Pretty interesting none the less.

Yeah, the rebates in most cases are a FAR better deal than the [potentially] cheaper gas. Still, if you think gas will be VERY expensive over the next three years, then will go down below $2.99 after that (ha ha), it might be something worth running the numbers on.

I'd just take the rebates, though.
