I know of cases where GM "small cap" HEI ignition systems will burn throughout the cap internally and you will get a spark but NOT a strong one as it is pertly "leaking" through the burn tracts inside the cap
and for the fuel flow @ the engine I assume you disconnected the line into the central multi point injector thingy - I have heard of plenty of injector unit failure causing NO start / ZERO fuel into engine
also check the Fuel PRESSURE over flow as it being a return type of system if the Pressure regulator has quit there will be flow but NO pressure and NO fuel injection
