Hello,
This one has me stumped. I have '96 Chevy 1500 5.7L truck. Its been running strong and going on 160K orginal miles. Last week, I went to start it up and it will turn over but not start. Now I'm a junior mechanic and I instantly thought fuel pump. Fuel pump is good. I'm getting a healthy gyser of fuel at the engine. I next thought spark. I took a plug out and did the screwdriver test and I have good spark. I shot starter fluid into the intake and it will not start. I visualy checked the fuses.... they looked good. There is no check engine light and the computer is offering no codes. What else could cause it all of a sudden to have these conditions? Any guidance would be appreciated!!
