Has anyone ever experimented with using an L98-code 5.7L TPI V-8 into their 1987-90 Caprice 9C1 Police Package sedans? This was the hottest Corvette/Camaro engine at the time. It should be known that L98 specs changed nearly every year.
Normally, the 9C1 cars only had a carbureted LM1-code 5.7L V-8 or the LG4 5.0L V-8, both of which seemed long in the tooth when they were finally replaced after the 1988 model year by the new L05 5.7L TBI and L03 5.0L TBI engines respectively. A few 9C1s from this period also had a V-6.
