NUMMI does not, and has never made the Matrix. Every Matrix is, and always has been made in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. NUMMI built ~300,000 Corollas 03-04 Model year. Meaning the rest came either from Canada or Japan.

Well...I didn't write the article. That's kinda surprising though, you'd think that Autoblog would know their stuff...NUMMI does not, and has never made the Matrix. Every Matrix is, and always has been made in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. NUMMI built ~300,000 Corollas 03-04 Model year. Meaning the rest came either from Canada or Japan.
They could've meant the RHD version of the matrix.
Funny thing is that, up here, the TV guys just reported this as a pontiac problem and recall. Most folks do not know that the plant is a joint venture with the rice kings.
