General Information

I bought this car from a Marine Gunnery Sergeant (E-7) about 6 months ago. It is white (if you look past the dirt and one rust spot). The rear bumper cover is damaged and hanging on the driver's side. The interior looks as if the previous owner(s) didn't care too much. At first, I was just going to use this car until it is time for me to move on to my next unit. I had a change of heart though. I have never had a car that I did not fix up. So why should this one be any different. So far I have replaced the front and rear break hardware to include calipers and drums. If I would have had this revelation about fixing the car up sooner, I would have opted for a 4 wheel disk replacement. I have to get ready for safety inspection by the end of Jan 2005, so I have to wait to the tranny swap and body work. Also, here in Hawaii, they have a system called "Recon". During the safety inspection, all parts/accessories are checked against a database of standard/optional equipment for the vehicle. If you have anything other than those parts or something comparable, you have to get it certified safety compliant and you get an additional sticker next to your safety sticker. No other state has a system like this. I will post pics to show before, after, and finished progress states. Until then, Laterz..........
