General Information

S-10 ZR2
My ZR2!

I ordered this truck from the factory back in early 2003 and picked it up in April. Since then I have been happier than a fat kid in a candy store. This truck has surpassed any of my expectations from a small truck. Great power in the engine (She's a little thirsty at the pumps though) and it tows my snowmobile trailer and boat with ease. Offroad I can go through pretty much anything my buddy's Jeep Rubicon can go through and much further than those huge full, size P/U's and SUV's.

Current Mods:

Not very much, still trying to pay off the truck.
- Spray in liner
- Hood deflector (not pictured)
- Class 3 hitch
- Lund Genesis Hinged Bed Cover (not pictured)

Future Mods:

There are so many after market parts available for these trucks it makes it very difficult to decide so I'll be brief:

- Superlift 2" Lift kit
- Nice beefy set of 'Super Swampers'
- Borla Exhaust
- Pioneer System w/ DVD
- Putco Bull Bar and Nerf bars

Thanks for reading!

I had a 1999 model (purchased in 1998) that was a fantastic vehicle. I miss it sometimes. I wish GM would ZR2 the current Colorado (wider track, lift, etc.). Enjoy the truck!

I'll be upgrading the rims for sure. Probably 'American Racing', they've got a great selection of truck rims.

Tiger, I couldn't agree with you more. The Colorado with a factory lift would be awesome. The Z71 package on it is okay, but it just doesn't have the 'mean' stance the ZR2 does. Also, I tow my boat in the summer and it weighs 3000lbs, the Vortec V-6 has the torque to pull it...I'd be worried about straining the I-5.
