We've come a long way in 40 years. Thank goodness they didn't try to style the new Camaro after that one. Early 70's were not bad but anything after 75 was some ugly.
Yeah, the early ones were better looking, and these are really slow by modern standards, but I'd take either one of those '77s today, just because they're cool and fun to drive.
Thanks for posting. Not a huge fan of the big bumper Camaro (I am biased, love the early and late 2nd gens though), but I would take a 77 Bandit any day.
I actually liked the '78-'81 Z28 more than the '70-'77. But, for this generation of models, the T/A was my favorite. Of course it was the '77-'78. The '79-81 Firebirds ruined a good thing.
very surprised the z beat the TA but the TA always seemed to have taller gearing. a friend had a '76 TA and I think it had 2.56 or 2.73 gears. couldn't spin the tires from a stop.
A neighbor buddy of mine had a 1977 Formula with the 6.6L, I recall the first time I got in, was the first time I realized how vertical the "A-pillar" on these cars were.
