I thought Lordstown was running at capacity, using all 3 shifts?? Maybe Spring Hill is one of the plants that will close? The Relay is built in GA,The Sky won't be built there, and the Aura will be built in Fairfax. I don't know about the VUE but the volume of that car won't keep Spring Hill open.

I doubt that considering they are already building NOXs, Torrents, and the new completely distinctive XL-7.

Spring Hill might be the plant that is going to build the new larger Saturn SUV.

Spring Hill will proabably build the VUE until this product cycle is done , and then will be the main plant for Lambda production, (Outlook,GMC, Centieme).
GM has said that the Spring Hill plant is no longer commited to just Saturn production. This also means next gen mini-vans may get built there.

So, what does the Astra hatchback diesel hybrid look like? Anyone have a pic?

I can see the Astra based ION finally arrive on our shores via Lordstown for 2007.

As someone suggested, the Vue may move to CAMMI in Ontario. This does make sense. The Vue would have to lose its plastic panels......

It wouldn't surprise me if the new Lamda based minivans were built @ Spring Hill, Thus closing Doraville.

The new larger Saturn SUV might be assembled @ the new Lansing Assembly plant under construction along I-69 (Correct me if I am wrong)..

This makes sence, I think it would cut costs. Since Aura will be made along side Malibu in Kansas, I wonder what will be made in Spring hill aside from the VUE?

    Another Saturn in the cards??

Where's the Pontiac G4 being built?
Sorry China, we'll buy your disposable electronics and lead coated toys, but when we Americans want a cheap car with horrible quality, we get a Chrysler.

I would prefer the name Pursuit instead of the cheesy G4... http://www.pontiacg4.com.mx/

i will be sooo happy if the astra makes it here as the ion. it is such a perfect small car. i love the cobalt but its styling is just a little off for me and i think the astra as a saturn would be a perfect car.
